Can I get a third-party inspection?

Yes, you can arrange a third-party inspection for any used excavator you buy from ExcaYard. While we conduct our own 150-point pre-shipment inspection with photos and video, we also welcome independent inspectors appointed by you. This guide explains how third-party inspections fit into the buying process, along with key details on condition, documentation, payment, shipping, and lead times.

Why Third-Party Inspection Matters

Buying a used excavator from overseas involves trust. Even with detailed photos and videos, some buyers prefer an independent assessment. A third-party inspection gives you an unbiased report on the machine's condition, hours, and overall value. At ExcaYard, we support this by providing access to the machine before shipment and coordinating with your chosen inspector. This transparency helps you make a confident purchase decision.

Our 150-Point Pre-Shipment Inspection

Every excavator we export undergoes a rigorous 150-point inspection before it leaves our yard. This covers engine, hydraulics, undercarriage, electrical systems, structural components, and more. We also verify working hours and use paint-thickness checks to detect any prior repairs or repainting. You receive a comprehensive report with photos and video, so you know exactly what you are buying. This inspection is included at no extra cost and serves as a baseline for your own third-party review.

How to Arrange a Third-Party Inspection

Arranging an independent inspection is straightforward. After you select a machine, simply inform your sales manager that you wish to appoint a third-party inspector. We will coordinate a suitable time for the inspection at our yard in Hefei, Anhui, or at the port before loading. You can hire international inspection companies like SGS, Bureau Veritas, or a local Chinese surveyor. We provide full access and assistance to ensure the process runs smoothly. Any inspection fees are paid directly by you to the inspector.

Documents and Certifications

ExcaYard handles all export documentation and certifications required for your destination. Depending on the country, we arrange SONCAP for Nigeria, SABER for Saudi Arabia, PVoC for Kenya, Tanzania, and Ghana, GSA for Ghana, and KEBS for Kenya. Standard documents include commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, and certificate of origin. If you need additional certificates, we can discuss options. These documents ensure smooth customs clearance and compliance with local regulations.

Payment, Shipping, and Lead Times

We accept payment via T/T USD wire, L/C through Bank of China, and Wise. For shipping, we offer FOB or CIF terms. You can choose RoRo, container, or flat-rack shipping, depending on the excavator size and your preference. Our default ports are Shanghai, Ningbo, Qingdao, and Tianjin. Typical CIF lead time is 28-45 days port-to-port, though this can vary based on destination and vessel schedules.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use my own inspection company?

Absolutely. You are free to appoint any third-party inspection company. We will coordinate access to the machine and provide necessary assistance.

Is the 150-point inspection the same as a third-party inspection?

No, our 150-point inspection is conducted by our own technicians. A third-party inspection is independent and arranged by you. Both can complement each other.

What if the third-party inspection finds issues?

If any discrepancies are found, we will discuss solutions with you, which may include repairs, price adjustments, or selecting a different machine. Your satisfaction is our priority.
