Do you handle customs clearance?

ExcaYard handles the export-side documentation and certifications required for your used excavator shipment, but we do not directly handle customs clearance in your destination country. Customs clearance is typically managed by your local clearing agent, who uses the documents we provide to complete import formalities. We support you by preparing and supplying all necessary export certificates, commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.

What ExcaYard Handles on the Export Side

As a China-based used excavator export specialist, ExcaYard manages every step from sourcing to loading. We source, inspect, and ship pre-owned machines from leading brands including Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, Volvo, Doosan, Hyundai, Kobelco, Sany, XCMG, SDLG, LiuGong, and Sunward. Our team arranges the 150-point pre-shipment inspection with photos and video, verifies working hours, and performs paint-thickness checks to confirm machine condition. We also prepare and handle all export certifications such as SONCAP for Nigeria, SABER for Saudi Arabia, PVoC for Kenya, Tanzania, and Ghana, GSA for Ghana, and KEBS. These documents are essential for your customs broker to clear the machine at your port.

Documents and Certifications You Will Receive

For every shipment, we provide a complete set of export documents: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, and certificate of origin. Depending on your destination, we also arrange the required conformity certificates. The table below summarises the key documents and their typical use.

How Shipping and Clearance Work Together

We offer FOB or CIF terms. With FOB, you arrange the main freight and your agent handles clearance at the destination port. With CIF, we arrange shipping to your port, but customs clearance remains the buyer's responsibility. We ship via RoRo, container, or flat-rack, with default ports in Shanghai, Ningbo, Qingdao, and Tianjin. Typical CIF lead time is 28-45 days port-to-port. Once the vessel departs, we send you the bill of lading and other documents so your clearing agent can start the import process. Payment Terms and Lead Time

We accept T/T USD wire, L/C through Bank of China, and Wise. Payment terms are agreed before shipment. After payment confirmation, we complete the inspection, prepare documents, and book the vessel. The typical lead time from order to departure is 28-45 days, depending on the destination and vessel schedule. We keep you updated with photos and videos throughout the process.

What You Need to Do for Customs Clearance

To clear customs in your country, you will need to engage a local customs broker. They will use the documents we provide to file the import declaration, pay any applicable duties and taxes, and arrange final delivery. We recommend confirming your broker's requirements early so we can prepare the correct certificates. For a detailed list of certifications we handle, visit our certification documentation page.
