Why Indonesia imports the way it does.
Indonesia is the largest excavator market in Southeast Asia, with demand spanning multiple sectors: nickel mining in Sulawesi (driven by EV battery demand), coal mining in Kalimantan, palm oil estates in Sumatra and Kalimantan, and the construction из the new capital Nusantara in East Kalimantan.

Importer must hold API-U (general importer license). Customs clearance through Tanjung Priok takes 7-14 days with standard documentation. For mining destinations in Kalimantan or Sulawesi, Surabaya or Makassar may be preferable ports.
