Market overview

Why Saudi Arabia imports the way it does.

Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 has unleashed unprecedented infrastructure demand. NEOM, The Line, Red Sea Project, Qiddiya, and dozens of smaller mega-projects all require fleet expansion. Demand skews toward larger machines (Cat 336/349, Komatsu PC400, Hitachi ZX470) than typical Middle East markets.

SABER (Saudi Product Safety Program) certificate is mandatory for almost all imports, including used machinery. The process involves PCoC (Product Conformity Certificate) and SCoC (Shipment Conformity Certificate). We coordinate with accredited bodies (Intertek, SGS).

Local Saudi importer/agent is highly recommended — customs clearance involves coordination with multiple authorities and a local presence accelerates the process. Final clearance at Jeddah or Dammam typically 14-21 days with complete documentation.
