The Russian market underwent a fundamental shift after 2022 sanctions on Western brands. Cat, Komatsu, Volvo new-equipment sales effectively ceased, and Chinese brands (Sany, XCMG, SDLG, Lonking, LiuGong, Lovol) rapidly captured market share. Today over 70% of new excavator imports to Russia are Chinese.
Used Chinese machines from China are now the dominant import flow. Used Western brands (Cat, Komatsu, Hitachi) are still imported but face supply constraints and customs complications. We focus our Russia exports on Chinese brands where the supply chain is cleanest.
