Overview

This 2012 Hitachi ZX120IMPORT is a 12.0-ton excavator with 14,200 hours, sourced from our Fuzhou yard in China. The machine is classified as Grade C, reflecting its age and operational wear. It has been used in local construction and earthmoving projects. The OEM engine is original and has not been rebuilt. The unit is sold in as-is condition, suitable for buyers seeking a cost-effective machine for less demanding applications. Exported globally with FOB Shanghai terms.

02

Specifications highlights

The excavator is powered by its original OEM engine, providing adequate power for its class. The bucket shows moderate wear with some edge thinning. Operating weight is 12.0 tons, making it suitable for medium-duty tasks. Key components such as the hydraulic pump and final drives are original but have not been overhauled. The undercarriage has approximately 50% remaining life, with some wear on track chains and sprockets. The cab interior is functional with minor cosmetic damage.

03

Working condition

Grade C: This machine shows clear signs of use and age. The engine starts and runs, but may exhibit minor oil seepage. Hydraulic functions are operational with some drift in the boom and arm. There is visible rust on the counterweight and paint fading. The bucket has weld repairs and worn teeth. The swing bearing has slight play. No major structural cracks or damage. Sold as-is, with no warranty. Recommended for parts or light duty where full performance is not critical.

04

Why choose this unit

The Hitachi ZX120IMPORT is a well-known model in many export markets, offering reasonable reliability and parts availability. This Grade C unit is priced competitively for buyers who need a basic excavator for light work or as a source of spare parts. Hitachi's global dealer network supports parts supply, though many aftermarket alternatives exist. For African, Southeast Asian, and Latin American markets, this machine provides an entry-level solution without the high cost of a newer unit.

05

Best for

Best for light excavation, trenching, and loading tasks in less demanding environments. Ideal for buyers in Nigeria, Indonesia, and Peru who require a low-cost machine for intermittent use or as a backup. Also suitable for parts recovery if the buyer has other ZX120 units. Not recommended for heavy continuous operation or projects requiring high uptime.

06

Shipping & documentation

FOB Shanghai. The machine can be shipped via container (20ft flat rack) or RoRo vessel. Estimated shipping to Mombasa (Kenya): 25-30 days; to Surabaya (Indonesia): 10-15 days; to Callao (Peru): 30-40 days. All export documentation, including bill of lading and commercial invoice, will be provided. Buyers are responsible for import duties and taxes. We can assist with loading and securing for ocean transport.
